Good Smile Company reopens preorders for a second run of its Sadako Nendoroid
Good Smile's product page lists a second Sadako Nendoroid preorder run, October 8 to November 11 at 7,800 yen; Rue Morgue ties the figure to Ringu.
Editor's cut
I read this as a second chance, not a restock. The page says preorders may close early, so the stated end date is a ceiling and not a promise. March is the company's own shipping estimate.
Good Smile Company has opened a second preorder run for its Nendoroid figure of Sadako, according to the company’s product page. Rue Morgue identifies the character as the ghost from the 1998 film Ringu; the page itself names neither the film nor the year. Preorders run from October 8 to November 11, 2026 (Japan time), with a limit of three per person. October 8 is the preorder-open date, not a publication date. The page gives March 2027 as the shipping month. The original run, listed for July 2023, is closed.
Good Smile’s page listed the figure at 7,800 yen. Rue Morgue, which reported the reopening, converts that to roughly $52 US before retailer markup or exchange-rate changes. That conversion is Rue Morgue’s, not Good Smile’s.
This product does not balance on its own. Please use the included stand.
Good Smile lists the figure as painted plastic, non-scale, about 100 mm tall and sculpted by QingYu. It comes with two interchangeable faces, three front hair parts, a well and a video tape, and a background sheet showing her crawling out of a television. Good Smile lists the rerelease with a bonus background sheet in a “TV Static” version.
Paintwork is partly by hand, so units can vary, and the pictures are prototypes. Good Smile says preorders may close without notice and availability differs by region.
